Final reflection

There are two things that I felt were important to learn in WR40, a class that reshaped my original gender values. Through the readings at the beginning and the films and analysis that followed, I realized how gender is shaped and constructed by society, not just biological differences. This changed my previous perspective and made me more aware of the existence of gender discrimination and how to fight it.

Secondly, by working with a group on Podcasts, I learned to collaborate and communicate better. This will help me in the future to work in a team and also to express myself effectively

The issue I need to address in this course is my language skills. Since my first language is not English, I often had to spend extra time on assignments, and this problem was most highlighted when working in a team: I was not confident enough to record podcasts, I didn't have a bottom line in my voice, as well as I didn't communicate well enough with my group members. I also caused everyone to be slower than they should have been. I plan to work on my English skills by communicating more in English in the days to come

Another brother problem was that I had problems with reading. Despite my efforts to read the course materials and participate in class discussions, I find myself struggling to understand complex concepts and distill key information. And my deficiencies in this area may affect my academic performance and my future career. To address this issue, I plan to invest more time and effort in reading and seek help and advice to improve my reading skills and comprehension.
